From pain into purpose — and a story into possibilities.
I met Dr. Venice Daley during a devastating season in my life. Determined to turn my “pain into purpose,” I began writing a book. Dr. Daley sat beside me, helping edit my manuscript and nurturing a vision that would grow beyond its pages.
She generously devoted her time, talent, and heart to helping that book evolve into a stage production and other products. What began as a story became a brand and an international conference, Black Diamond: Mining My Own Business, where Dr. Daley also served as a guest speaker.
Khaliah Ali, Muhammad Ali Jr., Matt Fogg, and Paul Murray were part of the launch. Our final conference featured Delegate Alaysia Black Hackett, JD, and other special guests. The journey later expanded into Embrace Your Brilliance, a blog show that continues to thrive.
